Spring Has Sprung ~ What Seeds Will You Plant?

Spring has a way of making you want to do a little dance. Well, at lease that's how it makes me feel. A happy little dance to urge the seedlings along. A silly little dance..with the trees as partners. Arms spread open, taking it all in...the breeze brings delicious wafts of Orange blossoms...& fresh, new air. A happy, silly dance...One, two... Cha cha cha.
And when I woke up, that smell was so strong, it made my belly rumble. It made me giggle the moment I opened my eyes. Then I remembered something my mom used to say; "it's the first day of the month. When you wake up, hop out of bed & holler 'rabbit, rabbit'. Then you'll have good luck all the month through."
Now, I'm not sure where she got that from, but for some reason, I remembered that as I laid there, smelling the orange blossoms. Another giggle ensued...and I 'hopped' out of bed hollering rabbit, rabbit. More giggles. Made my way to the bathroom to brush my teeth.
Rabbit, rabbit.
Chella (my cat) jumped up on the vanity & started swatting the water. Apparently she was all full of her own ya ya's...& she was saying it too. Rabbit, rabbit. A whole bunch of giggles bubbled up and pretty soon it was a full blown giggle fit. No stopping it now. Grabbed my flower head gear & some goofy glasses & bounded downstairs to open up the doors & let the aroma flood into the house.
Rabbit, rabbit.
The dogs were waggin' tails & talking their talk...rabbit, rabbit. Oh yea. The whole house was joining in the fun. When my house mate came down the hall to see what all the commotion was about, he stood there in the kitchen doorway with the most puzzled look on his face. There we were, all the critters & me...hopping around like lunatics...rabbit, rabbit.
So, while this little missive may seem a little silly....well, that's the point. I believe we spend far too much time in 'serious' mode. We're worrying over this, fretting over that, consumed by too much heaviness. There's a huge shortage of silliness going on right now. And I believe that if we will take some time to lighten up...be silly.....act like a kid for an hour or three....the whole world will feel the lightness. The whole world will feel the energy of YOUR lightness. Yes, one person can make a difference. And it starts right there...where you're sitting....with a smile on your face & a giggle in your throat. Go on. Get up outta that chair. Do a little dance. Embrace the lightness of your Being. Run outside & throw your arms up to the sky. It's a marvelous day. Whatcha gonna do with it?

Hi Camille.Rabbit, Rabbit. I love it. Missed the first of this month, but there's always the next.Love the photo, too. Is that a frog on your shoulder? Thanks for the giggles.Love and hugs,DianneYep. It's a frog. I LOVE frogs. This one is the 'mama'...& there's a baby one too, but she wouldn't stay put. Frogs are cool for so many reasons, but my favorite thing? the sounds they make. ribbet ribbet (not to be confused with 'rabbit rabbit')
