And The Walls Come Crumbling Down ~ How Our Current State Of Affairs Is A Boon To Humanity

You'd have to live in a cave not to hear all the doom and gloom being aired all around the world. Financial crises. War. Hatred. Bigotry. Crumbling governments. Domestic violence. And on and on it goes. So, the first thing one (well, this "one") might ask is: "Why do we even listen to it? It's all such a mess and there's certainly nothing I can do about it." And, from where I sit, that's precisely why I don't (listen to it). BUT, there is much I, and everyone else, can do about it. Oh yes we can. (Ya just gotta love that slogan!)

For one thing, in case it hasn't occurred to you, throughout the history of humankind, the crumblings always preceded the birth of a newer, better life. How far back would you like to go? When the Roman Empire fell? Or maybe the Great Wall of China? How about when the USSR became Russia? It doesn't matter where you look, if you will look at all you'll find that every "great dynasty" that fell was followed by a more productive, expanding society. Sure the in-between stuff was a little tough. Of course it was. But the end results were better than what had been prior to the fall. It's called 'evolution'.

Now, before somebody decides they have to argue about this, I'll give you a heads up. I'm not interested in being 'right'. Nor am I interested in 'intellectual banter' at this moment. I don't care if you agree with me. I'm more interested in inspiring you to look at what's going on as the death before rebirth. Because that's exactly what it is. Before we can move onward and upward to a more peaceful, prosperous, free humanity, we must first let go of the 'old'. We've got to let it crash and burn. Let those walls come a'crumblin' down. No fear. No doubt. No worries. It's gonna be okay. I'm tellin' you!

Here's another way to put it: why would we try to "save a world" that is so full of ugliness? Why? Do you really want to save a world so filled with death and poverty and violence? WHY? Why not, instead, let that world just go up in smoke? Because if we are what I think we are, as in Human Beings who give a hoot about each other, than all the greedy, short-sighted, selfish boneheads are now gasping their last breaths. Their days are numbered. Time's up. NOW is the time for us, those of us who know what evolution means, to embrace the times. These are magnificent, exciting, life-changing times! Instead of being all freaked out and terrified, we ought to be celebrating! Not since The Great Depression have so many people come together to help one another. We're doing all we can to see to it that our neighbors have food and shelter and warm clothes. We're buying toys for kids we don't even know. We're going above and beyond our own selfish, self-centered little worlds and opening up. Is this not cause for celebration?

I say, turn off the TV. Stop reading the newspaper. Get out of your house and go do something for someone in need. It doesn't matter how "small" a thing you think it is. Heck...if you only just went out and picked some flowers for the old lady next door, and sat with her for a few minutes to chat, you might be surprised just how much better BOTH OF YOU will feel. When was the last time you opened a door for someone? Or helped the elderly gent load his groceries into his car? Or let the knucklehead driving like a maniac just get in front of you? Pull on over. Wave as he goes by. And say a prayer that he doesn't kill somebody on his way to wherever he's in such a hurry to get to.

Sure, they're simple little things. But if the "times' don't scream for simplicity, I don't know what does. We are, as a species, being guided to a more simple, loving, caring humanity. Wouldn't that be oh-so-much better than where we've been?

Hi Camielle! Great write, very inspirational and I couldn't agree more! This old wretch of a society will fall and True Peace and Love will prevail -- this is the road I want to be on and I am thankful for all who choose to join in with all of us who want to walk this same road.

Peace and blessings to you, my dear friend! Teresa

Camille, Amen - Right on to this! I am so sick of the doom and gloom that has become viral BUT what you advocate can become viral, too! It is true and more potent in our capable minds! I pray we all take hold of what you have espoused and run with it. Because Cami? Yes "we" can! Thank you!!

I'm sorry it took me so long to read this. You've fired me up, flower child! LOL

You are such a Sweetie! Thanks for the kudos, Avis. And, by the way, if you haven't already, you may really enjoy watching the delightful Rev. Michael Beckwith...type in "Micheal Beckwith at Mile-Hi Church" (on YouTube). It's a 4 part video...and worth the time. Talk about fired up! He's so awesome...and I watch this video often. It keeps me grounded in The Good. Sending hugs and more fuel for your fires!
